Brief Biography
Dr. Constantinos Tsioutis is an internal Medicine specialist with training in infection control and antimicrobial stewardship.
He graduated from the Medical School, University of Crete, where he also acquired his PhD and specialized in Internal Medicine. He was also trained in infection prevention and control, applied epidemiology and antimicrobial stewardship at the University Hospital of Crete, the Rollins School of Public Health (Atlanta, GA, USA) and the University Medical Center Groningen, Netherlands.
He is member of the Education Working Group of the European Committee on Infection Control (EUCIC) and has published widely in the field of infectious diseases.
He is Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the School of Medicine, European University Cyprus, Chair of the Clinical Training Committee and Coordinator of the MSc “Infectious Diseases: Prevention and Control”.
He is member of local and international scientific committees in the field of clinical education and infectious diseases and is a consultant in the field of infection control for local and international organization.
He is head of the Cyprus National Scientific Advisory Committee COVID19.
His clinical interests focus on
